I admit that I am not an adventurous person and so it makes me all the more admire those people who are constantly setting new targets. It is great to have a goal to look forward to and reaching the great sense of accomplishment upon getting to it.
1)Shuying is going to drive from Perth to Melbourne. Getting off road would be a 6 complete day ride and in winter, and that would means a shorter day-time and the colder weather. She and her boyfriend need to drive off-road and through a desert before they can reach their destination. To ship her vehicle back to Melbourne costs only $500, but drive on one own is to buy a new experience. Unlike a tour ride, this vehicle needs to cut through many places where probably there would be no nice scenery for viewing. Also, this means that there would be no ready supply of helpline and food. Surely enough, through this trip, they would gain a new life experience and new insights.
2)We met an Australia Couple at a prata shop and were told that they would be off to a 2,000 miles (approximately 30 times around Singapore) cycling trip in Australia. Once again, another two adventurous people is going to conquer the aussie winter. This moment, there is no time limit as they can take their own pace, since it is still school holiday in the international school and they are both works as educators. They will be staying at campsites along the journey. They are around the age of 60 and this is their first time deciding on such a long expedition. I wondered how long have they been trained on their legs to take the courage to get through such a challenge.
